Poland: comeback completed – Ślepsk Malow Suwałki down ZAKSA in advance of Round 21!

Round 21 of 2025/26 Plusliga started today with the clash between Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, ended at tie break in favor of the home team after a spectacular comeback in a game that has been solved only after a thrilling tie break, 3-2 (23:25, 15:25, 25:19, 25:19, 21:19)!
ZAKSA appeared in control after winning the first two sets 25–23 and 25–15, led by Kamil Rychlicki who left the court as top scorer with 30 points to his name, well supported by Rafał Szymura who added 15, Karol Urbanowicz with 14 and Szymon Jakubiszak also in double digit with 10. The momentum shifted in the third set as the hosts found their rhythm, claiming the next two sets 25–21 and 25–19 to force a tie-break.
Bartosz Filipiak led the winners with 26 points, while Henrique Honorato added 23.
The deciding set was tightly contested, but Honorato himself sealed the 21–19 victory with two late serve aces.
He was named also MVP after finishing with 52% efficiency in attack, six aces and two blocks.
Round 21 will continue on Friday with other two games: JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel will welcome PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów in a big classic of Polish volleyball while, in tue evening, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów will face last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa.
