Poland: Jastrzębski Węgiel and Cuprum Stilon Gorzów earn wins on Friday games of Round 21

After the advance played on Wednesday, in which Ślepsk Malow Suwałki down ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle at tie break, Round 21 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other two games.
JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel strengthened their push for a top-eight finish with a 3-1 (18:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:19) home win over PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów. The victory was their 12th of the season and lifted them to sixth place in the standings, while the rivals’ struggle continued with a sixth straight defeat and no league wins so far in 2026!
The visiting side started strong, taking the opening set 25–18, but Jastrzębski quickly found their rhythm, winning the next three sets with more composure. Michał Gierżot led the way with 19 points and earned MVP honors, well supported by Nicolas Szerszeń who added 16 and Łukasz Kaczmarek with 11.
For Bełchatów, Zouheir El Graoui scored 17 points, while Bartłomiej Lemański added 16.
In another tightly contested match, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów defeated last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa 3-2 (25:14, 17:25, 25:23, 22:25, 16:14) after a dramatic tie-break. The hosts claimed the decider 16–14 to move further away from the bottom of the table, while Częstochowa remain last despite taking home an important point.
The first two sets were one-sided, but the final three went down to the wire.
The winners made the difference with stronger serving and blocking, and fewer unforced errors. Kamil Kwasowski and Mathis Henno both scored 21 points with the first one named MVP.
Patrik Indra was the top scorer of the match with 24 points for Częstochowa, while Milad Ebadipour added 20.
Round 21 will continue tomorrow with other two games: Barkom Każany Lwów will welcome Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, while Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will face InPost ChKS Chełm.
