France: Round 22 continues – victories and 3 points for Sète and Nice

After the advance played yesterday, in which Tourcoing down Toulouse in four sets, Round 22 of 2025/26 MARMARA Spike League continued today with other two games, in which both winners earned three points in front og their home fans.
All easy for Sète, who sweep last-placed Ajaccio with a clean 3-0 (25:21, 25:15, 25:11) in just 1 hour and 4 minutes of play. Better in all elements (13 to 4 blocks, 5 to 0 aces, 56% team performance in attack to 36%, 65% positive reception to 44%), the hosts were able to keep the lead since the very beginning of the match until the end, with 12 points from an excellent Nicolas Zerba, top scorer of the game with 80% in attack and 4 winning blocks, 11 from Tristan Schlienger and 10 from Nooa Marttila. Only Victor Socie left the court in double digit for Ajaccio, who continued to struggle always at -3 from second-to-last Saint Nazaire, defeated today on the field of Nice by 3-1 (19:25, 25:18, 25:12, 25:23).

After losing first set, the home team finds the rhythm led by a great Dawid Dulski, top scorer of the match with 26 points to his name through 62% in attack and 3 aces of the winners’ 11 aces, while MVP Shay Liberman added 22 through 58% in attack, 6 aces and 1 block as well as two decisive aces in second set and 5 points in a row in decisive fourth set, from 12-12 to 16-12 (3 aces in a row and 2 attacks from the second line!).
Meanwhile, Lohan Nack Minyem (10 points through 78% in attack, 7/9, and 3 blocks) won the duel against his twin William Nack Minyem (11 points through 73% in attack, 8/11, 2 blocks and 1 ace).
So, Sète jumped to fifth place in the standings with 35 points at -1 from Poitiers, who will face Tours tomorrow, while Nice continue their playoffs run with 32 points at -1 from Toulouse and -3 from the same Sète.
Round 22 will continue tomorrow with other three games: CEV Cup quarterfinalist Poitiers will welcome leaders Tours, Plessis-Robinson will face Chaumont, while Narbonne will welcome Paris in a direct clash for playoffs race.
