Poland: 3 points for Jastrzębski Węgiel and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin on Sunday games of Round 26

Round 26 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other two games.
Bogdanka LUK Lublin defeated PGE Projekt Warszawa 1-3 (29:31, 21:25, 25:19, 12:25) in the big match of the day, closing the gap to the team from country’s capital to just one point.
The opening set was the one that delivering the most drama, with Lublin closing a tight battle 31–29.
They followed with a 25–21 win in the second set before the hosts responded 25–19 in the third one. The visitors, however, sealed the match convincingly in the fourth set 25–12.
Wilfredo Leon led the winners with 18 points, while Mateusz Malinowski with 14, Hilir Henno with 13 and MVP Maciej Zając also in double digit with 12 points also gave a strong contribution.
For Warszawa, Bartosz Bednorz scored 14 points and Jurij Semeniuk added 10. Lublin outperformed their rivals in serves (7–3), blocks (10–7) and committed fewer errors (28 to 34).
In another important match in the play-off race, JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel swept Energa Trefl Gdańsk also on the road 0-3 (23:25, 23:25, 21:25), allowing them to move ahead of their rivals in the standings, climbing to sixth place.
Łukasz Kaczmarek led the charge with 15 points to his name, well supported by Nicolas Szerszeń who added 13 and Michał Gierżot also in double digit with 12. Gdansk’s most prolific players were Tobias Brand with 12 and Piotr Orczyk with 10.
The visitors were better in attack efficiency (47% to 43%), blocks (7 to 5) and committed fewer errors (18 to 22), while setter Benjamin Toniutti earned the MVP award.
Round 26 will close tomorrow with the clash between Indykpol AZS Olsztyn and newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm.
