Champions League: Ziraat destroy Resovia also in second leg to progress to Semifinals!

After a clean straight sets win in Poland, Turkish powerhouse Ziraat Bankkart Ankara did the same in front of their home fans sweeping Asseco Resovia Rzeszów with the same result, progressing to 2025/26 CEV Champions League Semifinals without losing a single set, 3-0 (25:22, 25:19, 25:21).
Backed by home support, the winners controlled the match from start to finish, taking the two sets required to confirm qualification before sealing the victory in style.
Interestingly, this result sends Ziraat to the Final Four for only the second time in club history!
MVP Nimir Abdel-Aziz with 12 points (45% in attack and 2 aces) led the charge, with strong contributions from Trévor Clevenot who added 10 (53% in attack and 1 block).
Resovia, despite solid efforts led by Karol Butryn, top scorer of the match with 16 points, were unable to overturn the deficit and their European run came to an end.
Ziraat Bankkart will compete in the Final Four in Italy on May 16/17, facing the winner of Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie vs Cucine Lube Civitanova, with a strong advantage from the team from Poland, who won on the road in just three sets.
