Italy: Round 2 of 2025/26 season completed – win for Trento, Piacenza, Modena and Perugia in big match vs. Civitanova. First win for newcomers Cuneo!

After the advance played yesterday, in which Rana Verona sweep Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, Round 2 of 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca has been completed today with the remaining games.
The day started with a 3-0 (25:21, 25:21, 28:26) win of super favorite Itas Trentino over Sonepar Padova.
The winners climbed to the top of the standings together with Rana Verona, thanks to Jordi Ramon’s 19-point performance.
Straight sets win alsp for MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo over Cisterna Volley 3-0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:19), with volleyball icon Ivan Zaytsev who reached an amazing career milestone, surpassing 6,000 total points!
In Piacenza, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza prevailed 3-1 (28:26, 14:25, 25:17, 25:18) over Allianz Milano in a spectacular duel between Alessandro Bovolenta, who left the court with 28 points, and Ferre Reggers, with 27!
Meanwhile, Valsa Group Modena overpowered Vero Volley Monza 3-0 (25:19, 25:17, 26:24) while, in the evening, Sir Susa Scai Perugia edged out Cucine Lube Civitanova in a breathtaking 3-2 (25:15, 22:25, 25:20, 23:25, 15:11) victory at Pala Barton Energy. The electric atmosphere matched the intensity on court, with both sides pushed each other to the limit already in second round of Italian elite competition!
Perugia started strong, dominating the opening set 25–15, before the rivals struck back to level the score twice. In the deciding tie-break, Kamil Semeniuk sealed the win for the home side with clutch attacking and serving, giving Perugia a well-deserved victory. Wassim Ben Tara with 19 points and Agustín Loser with 14 were decisive in key moments of the game while, for Civitanova, Alex Nikolov stood out with 21 points, well supported by Poriya Hossein Khanzadeh who added 13, who made a strong impact starting from the bench.
