Coppa Italia 2022 to Sir Safety Conad Perugia!

It is Sir Safety Conad Perugia to lift 2022 Edition of Del Monte Coppa Italia, Italian Cup, by beating Itas Trentino in Grand Finale of the copetition held in Casalecchio di Reno’s Unipol Arena.
After two titles in a row and last two final loss, Perugia back to the victory in front of a great number of fans after three years.
It was a great match, with the winners basically perfect in first two sets. However, in third set Trento reacts and the match became very balanced, played point by point. Lorenzetti’s guys don’t give up and, despite a 24-20 in favor of their rivals, they re-open the game with Michieletto until 24-23, in an infinite action, then closed by Giannelli.
This was third Italian Cup in club’s history (2018, 2019, and 2022), and first important title in Italy for head coach Nikola Grbic, who last year won Champions League at the helm of Polish Side ZAKSA.
Leon was named MVP of the match: 23 points (45% in attack) including 4 aces, while Rychlicki also contributed with 21. But congratulations also to middle-blocker Mengozzi who, in what was his first final in his long career, closed the game with 11 points, 3 winning blocks and 100% in attack through 8 balls.
