The third place and a bronze medal went to the USA. At the start of the game, both team showed a huge desire to finish the tournament with a bronze medal. After an incredible long battle in the first set, Serbia have managed to win it, 25-23, after a good shots at the end of the set.
Lot of mistakes at the start of the second set, and the USA take a 8-5 advantage at the first technical time out. USA mantained the advantage until the end of the set.
The third set was the decisive battle. Serbia had an advantage of two/three points, however, the USA in an extended set, ended 30:28, they took the lead. A fact that had a negative influence on the Serbian boys, who didn’t manage to recover the match and to force the match to the tie-break. Nikola Grbic’s team surrendered and let the USA win the bronze.

Matthew Anderson had a great match, scoring 29 points in this match. Luburic, which played in place of Atanasjievic, was the top scorer on the other side, followed by Ivovic with 11 and Petric with 10. This was the second time the USA beat Serbia in this tournament!
