Italy: summary of Supelega’s round 5!

Civitanova defeat Trento in the tie-break, while Perugia and Modena are still undefeated! This is our summary of this fifth round.
In the big match, Lube Civitanova have managed to defeat Trentino in a battle long five sets 3-2 (22-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 15-13). It was a high-level clash and fortunately for the home fans, Lube came out as the winners. Yoandy Leal was the top scorer on the home side with 21 points, Tsvetan Sokolov added 20 while Osmany Juantorena ended the match with 18.
Uros Kovacevic was the author of an amazing performance, with 27 points. However, it was not enough to won against Civitanova.
The reigning champions Perugia had to make a comeback in the match against Siena. They were trailing 1-0, but in another three sets they prevailed and won without lof of difficult the match. Wilfredo Leon was at the high level again, and was the author of 23 points, while Aleksandar Atanasijevic had 18 and Filippo Lanza added 15. On the other side, Fernando Hernandez scored 19 points.
Modena won in straight sets against Latina, and Ivan Zaytsev, who scored 13 points in this match, has pushed his team to the win the match with 13 points, followed by Mazzone, with 10.
The French opposite Stephen Boyer was the best scorer in Verona’s victory against Sora, finishing the match with 25 points.
Victory also for Milano, 3:1 against Castellana with a really great performance of the new entry, Simon Hirsch, author of 25 points and top scorer and MVP of the match.
Padova celebrate the victory against Monza, despite a dangerous drop in concentration in the third set, with Randazzo mvp and top scorer of the match with 17 points.
In the last match of the round, Rychlicki, with 22 points, led Ravenna to the victory against Vibo Valentia in a very balanced match. Despite another amazing performance of Vibo Valentia’s opposite Al Hachdadi, 24 points, nothing to do for the guests.
