Ziraat Bankasi surprise reigning champions on the road on Eferligi’s Round 12.

After the Christmas pause, Halkbank Ankara (without the middleblockers Capkinoglu and Kayhan, the latter hired two days ago by Ziraat) cashes a surprise defeat in the derby against Ziraat Bankasi, wasting a lead of 2-1 in the sets and 13 -11 in the 5th. Ziraat, now coached by Hidayetoglu after the departure of Milenkoski presents in the sextet Filiz in place of Atli and enjoy one of the best seasonal performances of Ghaemi (59% in Attack).
Even though Halkbank were in a good position to control the situation and to take the win, they didn’t manage to it since the rival played at the high level in the last two sets.
Drazen Luburic had a good performance, but it wasn’t enough for the win of his team. The Serbian opposite ended the match with 28 points.
On the winning side, Michal Finger scored 17 points to lead Ziraat to the victory.
Halkbank are still in the first place with a 9-3 score, but with one game more compared to the rivals, while Ziraaat are in the fifth place with a 7-5 score.
