Kioene Padova wins a comeback on the difficult field of Monza after a first set practically terrible in attack (positive at 19%!). Despite this, Padova won in four sets what was a great match: Torres suddenly led the team towards a victory that, after the first set, seemed impossible.
On the other hand, bitter Saturday for Vero Volley Monza, which show the two sides of their medal: the first is the fantastic one, an exciting first set won with an exhilarating team test 25-13, and the second, the less beautiful, discontinuous as often happened in this season.
Domination at the start of the match, thanks also to the mittleblockers’s performance: Yosifov and Beretta scored rispectively 11 and 10 points, with 4 blocks each and 2 and one aces.
Great performance also for Ghafour, author of 24 points and 7 blocks, however, they were not enough against the reaction of the guests, good at increasing intensity at the service and to attacks of an unleashed Torres, deservedly MVP of the match with 17 points, 2 aces and 4 blocks.
For Monza now there is the double commitment against Civitanova: first in the Coppa Italia, then in Superlega.
