Lube Civitanova and Modena have joined Perugia and Trento in the semifinals of the Italian National Cup.

Lube Civitanova had a really difficult match against Monza in the quarterfinals. Ferdinando de Giorgi’s side barely defeated the rival after playing the five-set match. Monza have managed to tie the game and to force the tie-break. However, the hosts managed to win this part of the game by 19-17 and to claim the semifinal spot.
Great match for Monza, still without Plotnisky, led by Iranian opposite Ghafour, author of 29 points and absolut top scorer of the match, however he was enough.
On the winning side Sokolov scored 24 points, Leal 19 and Simon, MVP of the match, 17.

Modena, led by Bartosz Bednorz who scored 23 points, defeated Milano in four sets to advance to the semifinals. Milano, how many regrets! The formation of Giani leads until the final points, where he suffered a comeback (thanks to their many errors) of the hosts who go to Bologna for the Final Four.

In the semifinals, Lube will meet Trento, while Perugia will play against Modena. The matches will be played on February 9 at Bologna.
