#France: Nice wins at the tie break against Sete in the advance of Round 18. But what a pain!
Yesterday the only advance of Round 18 of the French Ligue A was played. The prediction was not respected and Nice needed 5 sets to win the game against Sete.
An interesting side of this match? It was a big duel of opposites, between Nice’s Overbeeke (31 points, 25 in attack at 49%, 4 aces and 2 winning blocks) and Sete’s Tupchii (28 points in attack at 52%, 1 ace and 1 winning block).
However, the game was played with a lot of mistakes on both sides, especially for the home team: Nice could have led the match for two sets to zero, but in the second set two consecutive aces of Szwarc on Galabov allowed Sete to reopen a game in which they were always behind.
In this match Sete probably deserved the victory. Too many drops in concentration and too many mistakes for Nice, who somehow managed to win the tie break with a clear 15-11.
