For Revivre Axopower Milano this is the eighth consecutive victory in the second-leg of italian Superlega, imposing themselves 3-1 against Emma Villas Siena in a match lasted almost two hours.
It was a real battle at Palayamamay, in which the two teams played a big volleyball following their respective seasonal goals. With this victory, Milano has now 42 points in the standings, like Modena that today will be played at Civitanova’s home.
Siena won the first set and this initial advantage of the guests wake up Milano that, with an unstoppable Nimir from the service line (6 aces only in the second set!) is immediately 1-1.
However, in the third set there was a lack of cynicism for Milano, which wasted an advantage of 6 points: 22-16, and the great comeback of Siena until 22-23. The suffered victory 32-30 is for the hosts and paves the way for the definitive success of the Axopower.
