#France: victory for Sete and Narbonne in the advances of Round 23

1 min read

The first two advances of the 23rd round of the French championship were played this evening: victory in four sets for Sete against Toulouse, and terrible match for Nice, defeated in straight sets away against a very good Narbonne.
In details, the dark period of Toulouse continues, which is also defeated by Sete, that objectively takes deservedly the three points and rises to 14 in the standings. There are no words to describe Tupchii’s performance tonight: Sete’s opposite scored 31 points in 4 sets, with an excellent 65% in attack.
His teammates Grozdanov and Szwarc also contributed respectively with 15 points and 11 points (including 4 winning-blocks for the lattest).
A deserved victory also for Narbonne, against probably one of the worst Nice of this season. The opposite Baroti led his team to the victory in straight sets, scoring 22 points, 55% in attack and 3 winning blocks. The victory is however of the whole team, able to recover a first set in which Nizza has practically always dominated, up to an advantage of 11-16. For the guests, only Overbeeke reached a double digit performance, with 14 points but only 42% in attack.
What has changed in the standings? Nice remains in fifth place with 35 points. Behind them Chaumont with 34, but they will play tomorrow in Tours, while Narbonne remains in tenth place, but with three more points!

Sete-Toulouse 3:1

Narbonne-Nice 3:0

Tomorrow the others:
Tours-Chaumont
Poitiers-Cannes
Nantes-Tourcoing
Montpellier-Ajaccio
