#Superlega: Perugia and Civitanova have taken the lead in the semifinals

The semifinal clashes in the Italian Superlega have begun. Yesterday evening Perugia take lead vs. Modena, and a Sokolov’s amazing performance led Lube Civitanova to make a comeback for win in Trento.

The reigning champions Perugia have made the first step toward to Scudetto, beating Modena in four sets at the home court, with followinf results: 25:15, 26:24, 21:25, 26:24.
Since Aleksandar Atanasijevic was not able to play with his team due to suspension, Wilfredo Leon had to play at a much higher level to down Modena, and he did it! The Cuban-born player was the best with 24 points. MVP, however, was the Serbia. middleblocker Podrascanin, who closes the match with three winning blocks and some important service turns.
On the other side Bartosz Bednorz scored 17 points.

The clash between Trento and Lube was a dramatic game in which the away side managed to come out as the winners thanks to the amazing performance of Tsvetan Sokolov. The Bulgarian opposite scored 36 points to lead Lube to a comeback after trailing by 2-1.
Osmany Juantorena also contributed with 15, while on the other side Uros Kovacevic ended the match with 24 points.
