Also the iconic French libero has made his decision: he will put an end to his career at the end of the season, hoping to close with a new league title with Tours.
At the end of this season, Hubert Henno, forty-two years of age, twenty-three at the highest level, will no longer be a professional volleyball player.

Hubert Henno is a member of a rare group of players who started to play as libero from the moment when the FIVB introduced this position in 1998.

I have a hard time telling myself that it is over and that I will never play on a high level again. Since I took my decision, I have reviewed my whole career. I would never have imagined such a journey,” said Henno who made 253 caps for France national team since appearing in its jersey in 1999.

He spent the 10 of his 23 professional seasons abroad (one in Russia and nine in Italy) but won the majority of titles while playing in his home country. The most memorable ones are certainly two gold medals in the CEV Champions League (2001 with Paris and 2005 with Tours). As for international trophies, Henno did not win any gold medals but was close to doing so twice, claiming two silvers – in the 2003 and 2009 CEV European Championship.
