Also the Dutch libero Dirk Sparidans announced his retirement from the professional career. Yesterday he played his last match with Nantes’ jersey, on the field of Tours. Recall that the reigning champions of Tours won 3:0 and claimed a spot to semifinals.
Sparidans, 30, made his debut in the national team in 2010. In 2016 he earned a place in the starting seven from coach Gido Vermeulen.
In his international career, he played in Belgium (Lindemans Aalst) in Czech Republic (Kladno), and in France, Nantes, since last season.
