Slovenia’s backup setter undergoes appendectomy, will miss out Eurovolley final

Slovenia National Team will have only one setter in the roster for the final match of the 2019 CEV European Volleyball Championship.
The night before the semifinal encounter against Poland, Slovenia’s backup setter Gregor Ropret underwent urgent appendectomy and this was the reason why he was not on the roster for the match which his team won.
Knowing that recovery after the surgical removal of the appendix lasts for, at least, one week, Gregor Ropret will not be able to play with his Slovenia in the final. This means that Dejan Vinčić will be the only setter in the team.
Gregor Ropret is the son of the country’s volleyball federation President, Metod Ropret.
