Allianz Powervolley Milano closes in straight sets the first game against the Albanians of Erzeni Shijak, in its first ever debut in Europe.
In the 1/16 finals of the CEV Challenge Cup against the Albanian team, the team coached by Piazza destroyed rivals in just under an hour, partially 25:9, 25:15, 25:7.
At Centro Pavesi FIPAV in Milan, coach Piazza left some of his players in the bench, playing with Izzo diagonally with Nimir, middle-blockers Okolic and Clevenot, Basic and Gironi wing-spikers and Pesaresi libero. One-way game, as well as all the fundamentals of the match: Milano closes the game with 80% in attack with Nimir top scorer of the match with 22 points (and 88% in attack), 12 winning blocks and 16 aces! Interestingly, Erzeni Shijak didn’t make a single block in the whole game. Tomorrow the second-leg match will be played always in Milan.
