Poland: ZAKSA destroy Lubin to record 6th successive win, Węgiel write down 10th victory in a row including all competitions

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle easily prevailed away over Cuprum Lubin in Round 11 of the 2019/20 Polish Plusliga regular season.
They won all 3 points by beating the rivals in straight sets, partially 25:19, 25:17, 25:21). This was their 6th successive victory in the competition. ZAKSA had the role of absolute favorites of the match, not only because of the placement in the standings (No.1 with a 11-1 score and 33 points) but also due to the fact they haven’t lost to today’s rivals since the 2014/2015 season! Kamil Semeniuk was the top scorer for the titleholders with 14 points, which was as many points as Jakub Ziobrowski scored on the other side of the net.

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa remained the closest followers of ZAKSA in the standings, with a 11-1 score and 30 points, after beating Indykpol AZS Olsztyn by a 3-1 on the road.
Jastrzębski Węgiel wrote down the 10th win in a row including all competitions. They beat Trefl Gdańsk to continue their winning streak that now consists of 8 games, (10, counting the CEV Champions League). Dawid Konarski scored 23 points, while German Lukas Kampa served 5 aces for the team coached by Serbian Slobodan Kovač, who leveled with third-placed VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa in the standings at 30 points. Bartosz Filipiak scored 16 points for Gdansk.
PGE Skra Bełchatów downed Ślepsk Malow Suwałki to come in second with 31 points and a 10-3 score.
