Poland: Warszawa break 9-game winning streak of Jastrzębski to stay on the top!

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa swept Jastrzębski Węgiel in the derby of Round 17 of 2019/20 Polish Plusliga regular season.
They recorded the 15th victory in 16 matches and today the leaders in the standings beat the 4th placed side Jastrzębski in straight sets, ending rivals 9-game winning streak. At the same time, Warszawa extended their victorious run to 8 games.
The team from the Polish capital couldn’t count on their starting opposite hitter Udrys, which gives a special touch to the sweep of Jastrzębski in the derby. Bartosz Kwolek was the top scorer for Warszawa with 12 points, while Dawid Konarski scored 13 points for the losing side.
