One of the best setters in the world, Bruno Rezende, known as “Bruninho“, is close to making a decision regarding the new destination of his professional volleyball career.
The Brazilian setter, currently a player of the world and European champions Cucine Lube Civitanova revealed in an interview for “Il Resto del Carlino” that he announced to the club management his intention to return to play in Brazil and now awaits their reaction.
“I confirmed to the Sporting Director and Giulianelli (i.e. Lube owner Fabio Giulianelli) that I’d like to return to Brazil, I miss my country. But not to end the career, I don’t feel old, and maybe then I could go back to Italy,“ he stated.
He added that he understands it’s too early to expect a response from the Italian side because it isn’t normal that the transfer market is already in full swing in February. However, the Brazil National Team member set a deadline for Lube to react to his announcement.
“I spoke to my attorney and we indicated it on the Final 4 weekend in Bologna (i.e. Final 4 of the Italian Cup, on February 22-23)” the 2016 Rio Olympics champion stated.
