CEV latest announcement on anti-coronavirus measures

1 min read

Because of the spread of the coronavirus across Europe and the latest measures adopted by national and European authorities to fight against the pandemic, the CEV Board of Administration has decided to postpone all CEV events until April 3, 2020.
The CEV has been monitoring the development of the COVID-19 epidemic since the very beginning of the outbreak and stresses once more its full commitment to protect the health and safety of all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators.
The only exception to the postponement of all events and competitions are the CEV Volleyball Cup 2020 – Men semi-final matches between Lokomotiv NOVOSIBIRSK and Zenit SAINT PETERSBURG, as these fixtures involve two teams from the same country. These two matches will be taking place on March 19 and 26 in Novosibirsk and Saint Petersburg, respectively, as previously announced.
The CEV continues to monitor this fast-moving global situation very closely on an hour-by-hour basis in order to take any further needed action, doing so in consultation with the relevant national and European authorities.
