The Brazilian volleyball club Sesi São Paulo has found a head coach to lead the team, which will be based on the players from youth categories, next season.
Due to the economic crisis, Sesi announced competing in the 2020/21 Superliga Masculina with a team made up entirely of local young players. In addition to saying goodbye to all the players under professional contracts, the São Paulo team will also have to change the head coach. Roberley Leonaldo “Rubinho”, a former assistant of Bernardo Rezende in the Brazil National Team, won’t be commanding Sesi in the next season. He’ll be replaced by the legendary Marcelo Negrão.
The Olympic champion from the 1992 Barcelona Games will be promoted from the role of a coach in the youth categories of the club, which he performed in the last few seasons, to the senior team head coach.
