Brazil: a decade and 37 trophies not enough – Filipe extends with Sada Cruzeiro!

The three-time winners of the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship Sada Cruzeiro renewed the contract with a player that wears their jersey longest ever in the history of the club: Filipe Ferraz.
The veteran outside hitter will make his 11th season for the team based in Contagem. Thus, the 40-year-old player will continue captaining Cruzeiro for, at least, one more year.
Filipe joined Cruzeiro in 2010/11, winning as many as 37 titles with them.
Among these titles, there are three claimed in the FIVB Club World Championship, seven in the South American Club Championship and six in the Brazilian Championship.
As for individual awards, while defending the colors of Sada, he was named Best Receiver in the Brazilian Championship once.

Prior to him, Superliga giants renewed with the setter Fernando Kreling “Cachopa”, outside hitter Rodrigo Leão “Rodriguinho”, middle blockers Isac Santos, Cledenilson Souza “Pingo” and Otávio Pinto, and libero Lucas de Deus “Lukinha”. Earlier, Cruzeiro promoted prospect opposite Welinton Oppenkoski from the youth team to senior team and brought back two players from a loan in América Vôlei: the libero Lucas Bauer and setter Rhendrick Rosa.

The only signing so far was the Cuban Miguel Ángel López.
