#Euro2021 Qualifiers: Moldova upset Spain, Cyprus still winless

Moldova inflicted first defeat to Spain at the 2021 CEV Volleyball European Championship qualifier.
So, there are no undefeated teams in Pool D in Nicosia, Cyprus. Mihai Voleanschi (not so known to the high volleyball public and a member of France’s third division side Harnes Volley-Ball last season) was Moldova’s most prolific player with 31 points. “You may regard our victory over Spain as a surprise, but we delivered an excellent performance,” he said. “I think we deserved this victory.
