Challenge Cup: Halkbank progress to 16th finals

Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara went through into the 16th finals of the 2021 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup with a dominant display in both duels of the Qualification Round against Austria’s UVC Holding Graz.
As many as 10 players on the winning side scored at least one point, with Gökhan Gökgöz as top scorer with 13 points including 4 aces. Halkbank will play against Israel’s Hapoel Kfar Saba in the next round.


About the 16th finals, one face-off has already been completed a few days ago: Bulgaria’s Marek Union Ivkoni Dupnitsa achieved a double straight-set win against Austria’s UVC Weberzeile Ried.
Due to the withdrawal of Norway’s TIF Viking Bergen, Sweden’s Sollentuna VC progressed to the 1/8 final as well.
