Poland: Bad return of Warszawa to playing after one month – Olsztyn victorious!

The Polish volleyball Championship runners-up VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa returned to the 2020/21 season after almost a month of break caused by the coronavirus cases within the club, but it was a bas return: they were leading against the hosts Indykpol AZS Olsztyn by a 2-1 in sets in Round 7, but left the court with a 3-2 defeat, partially 22:25, 25:22, 21:25, 25:14, 15:13. MVP of the match Schulz with 19 points and 46% in attack, while German Ruben Schott was the top scorer for the winners with 17 points and Ukrainian Dmytro Teryomenko served 4 aces and made 5 blocks.
Intestingly, the players coached by Italian expert Andrea Anastasi haven’t yet played a single match in the competition this season at home in the Polish capital.
In total, they appeared only three times on the PlusLiga, and this last game Warszawa played before the encounter against Olsztyn has taken place on September 18!
