Russia: Kazan wins big match over St. Petersburg who wastes 7 set points

Round 7 of the 2020/21 Russian Volleyball Championship closed with a derby of the two powerhouses: Zenit-Kazan achieved a straight-set win over Saint Petersburg, pulling out difficult endings in two of them: 3-0 (27:25, 25:20, 28:26).
Today’s win was Zenit-Kazan’s sixth in a row (without defeat) in the league and eighth successive against these rivals. On the other hand, the series of wins of four games of Zenit Saint Petersburg has come to an end.
Maksim Mikhaylov top-scored for Kazan with 19 points while Ivan Yakovlev was the only player in double digits in scoring for the losing side.
