Brazil: Minas make season debut with a surreal reception performance and rejuvenated Sesi win too
1 min readThe new season of the Brazilian Volleyball Championship started with victories of Minas Tênis Clube and Sesi-SP.
Minas Tênis Clube, who entered the season with the title hopes, beat Pacaembu Ribeirão in straight sets (25:16, 25:21, 25:15) at the opener of the 2020/21 Superliga regular season.
The Cuban opposite on the winning side, Yadrian Escobar, was the top scorer with 11 points but, in addition, Minas had as many as five players with 100 % reception, both positive and excellent, while as a team, it had 87 % positive (84 % excellent)!
In the match that followed, the highly rejuvenated Sesi-SP prevailed over Caramuru Vôlei in four sets.
