Challenge Cup: Sporting lose in Germany but qualify for 1/8 finals

Sporting CP Lisboa is the 10th club to qualify for the eighth final of the 2021 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup.
Portugal’s sode qualified despite having lost in Germany from Helios Grizzlys Giesen in the second leg of the round of 32. Given they won 3-0 in the first match at home, they only needed to take two sets in yesterday’s match. The final result was 3-2 (25:22, 21:25, 22:25, 25:18, 15:12) for the Germans.
Brazilian Paulo Victor Silva top-scored Sporting with 22 points. He included 4 blocks in his display, while His compatriot Victor Hugo Pereira also had 4 blocks.
The team from the Portuguese capital doesn’t know the name of the opponent yet. It will be either the Czech’s VK Lvi Praha or Latvia’s RTU-R Jūrmala (dates for their face-off not yet determined)….
