VCA Amstetten NÖ dominated the DenizBank AG VL duel against newcomers TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg on Friday evening and, thanks to a clear 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:11) home success, took the lead in the charts. Today, Saturday, they will face in the big match away TJ Sokol Vienna V and with a victory over their pursuers, they can secure the promotion to the top round.
The home side were clearly superior in attack (40 vs. 26) and from the service line (6 aces vs. 0). Amstetten’s top scorers were Fabian Kriener with 12 points and Peter Blazsovics with 11, while Matthias Glatz scored 9 on the other side.
Only the first-placed after ten rounds plays together with SK Zadruga Aich/Dob, UVC Holding Graz and Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel in the top round, while the five other teams continue the championship in basic round 2. The top round participants are already qualified for the quarter-finals….
