Mevza League: Aich/Dob stuns defending champions Ljubljana

After three Mevza League defeats in a row, SK Zadruga Aich/Dob caused an amazing upset on Friday evening with a 3-1 (17:25, 25:20, 25:17, 25:22) home win over defending champion ACH Volley Ljubljana. The Slovenian top club, which is qualified for the CEV Champions League group stage, had not yet miss a single point in the competition.
While ACH Volley missed the return to the top of the charts, austrian side made up positions and is now at fourth place with six points behind Merkur Maribor, ACH Volley and Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel. However, they have already played six matches, three and four more than their immediate rivals Calcit Kamnik (SLO) and Mladost Zagreb (CRO).
Top scorers in the JUFA-Arena Bleiburg were Konrad Formela with 19 points and Lukas Kühl with 12 for the winners, while Bozidar Vucicevic made 23 on the other side.
