Brazil: all matches of Round 7

2 min read

In Round 7 of the Brazilian Superliga, in the family match between the national team opposite Alan Souza and his 8 year younger brother Darlan Souza, Alan had the best as predicted scoring 17 points with 60% in attack (against 13 and 40%) in the 3-0 away of Sada Cruzeiro against Sesi SP. MVP Facundo Conte with 14 points and 72% in attack. In the other games prediction respected between the modest Ribeirao and UberIandia (sixth 0-3 in 7 games) while the Montes Claros America surprisingly won at the tie-break on the Itapetininga field, with 33 points of its middle-blocker duo (18 points for MVP Judson who closed with 63% in attack, 5 blocks and 1 ace).

Played on the European night between Sunday and Monday 2 more games: in the big match Funvic Taubaté defeated Renata Campinas 3-1 away and thus confirmed itself unbeaten at the top of the standings. After dominating the first set and always leading the second (albeit with a smaller margin), the game became more interesting in the following sets. Led by Vissotto (6 points with 75% in attack in the 3rd set, 18 with 67% in total) Campinas raised their attack rates and managed to win the third set. In the 4th set Funvic started strong (4-8), but suffered a bad pass (12-10). Weber’s team then recovered thanks to a turn by Lucas in service (17-18) to then close the first match ball on an out attack from Vissotto. MVP Felipe Roque with 21 points, 55% in attack, 3 blocks and 2 aces. In the other game, easy 3-0 as expected by Minas over Guarulhos.
