Brazil: 8th win in as many games for Taubaté and the others of Round 8

EMS Taubaté Funvic maintained their unbeaten record in the 2020/21 Brazilian Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season.
The leaders in the charts (8-0) dominated over Sesi-SP in Round 8, and they were especially ruthless to the rivals in the third set in which they dropped a single-digit number of points: 3-0 (25:16, 25:15, 25:9). Felipe Roque top-scored the winners with 15 points (73 % attack; 11/15), while Douglas Souza had 78% reception (56% excellent). On the other hand, Sesi suffered the sixth successive defeat.

In the other games, Minas adjusted Caramuru 3-0 as expected, but suffered more than expected in the second and third set, while Blumenau proved to have overcome the after-effects of the covid by winning 3-0 on the field of direct rival Montes Claros, with a double 31:33 in the first two sets.

No surprises in the last matches (match postponed apart): Renata Campinas and Sada Cruzeiro win 3-0 without worries respectively against Guarulhos and Uberlandia.
