One day after the successful start in the DenizBank AG VL top round on the field of Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel, UVC Holding Graz had to admit a clear defeat in the MEVZA League duel with ACH Volley Ljubljana 0:3 (18:25, 23:25, 20:25) . The Slovenian defending champion and Champions League participant also took over the championship lead over Merkur Maribor thanks to his sixth success in the seventh game. And so nothing to do for Graz, that remain at the bottom of the charts after seven defeats in as many games.
The top scorer on Tuesday evening at Raiffeisen Sportpark Graz was Mark Kremer 15 for the hosts, and Bozidar Vucicevic and Jan Pokersnik with 15 points each for the winners.
Waldviertel will be play on the field of OK Calcit Kamnik on Wednesday, and they are currently in fourth place ahead of the Slovenes. The two teams will meet in Zwettl on Sunday. SK Zadruga Aich/Dob is third in the charts and wants to consolidate this place on Saturday with a home win over Mladost Zagreb.
