Russia: Dinamo Moscow sweep Zenit St. Petersburg and lift trophy

Dinamo Moscow beat Zenit Saint Petersburg in the final of the 2020 Russian Volleyball Cup. In the decisive match for the trophy, official name: Russian Cup named after Konstantin Reva, Dinamo Moscow beat the organizers of the tournament Zenit Saint Petersburg in straight sets: 3-0 (25:20, 25:21, 25:19).
Both sides played the final after exhausting semifinal encounters. Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov top-scored the team from the country’s capital with 18 points, while Egor Kliuka tallied 13 for Zenit.
Dinamo won their third Russian Cup (the sixth counting the competition in the Soviet Union) and the first trophy in domestic club volleyball since 2009. As for Zenit, they lost the final match for the national cup the third year in a row….
