2 min read
As expected, the last-placed Top Volley Cisterna yields in three sets in the home match against leaders Perugia. This is for the hosts the 15th defeat in Superlega this season in as many games. MVP of the match Cuban-Polish Leon with 12 points, 3 blocks and 57% in attack. 12 points also for Atanasijevic, 8 for Solè. Also important for Sir Safety Conad were the defenses of a super Colaci on the second line, and Plotnytskyi from the service line who, with two aces, creates the gap in the first two sets.
Perugia wins the challenge in practically all fundamentals and gives itself a 2020 final as leaders in the charts. All this in anticipation of a 2021 that will start with a home big match on January 3 against Itas Trentino.

On the other match played today, Itas Trentino recorded the fifth win in a row in Superlega, the eighth counting all matches in all competitions. This time they beat Leo Shoes Modena in a big derby, known in Italy as “Derby of the A22” (derby dell’A22), inflicting the second defeat to the same rivals in less than a month. Partially, it was 3-1 (25:18, 29:27, 23:25, 25:22). The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz staged another amazing performance, scoring 30 points, including 4 aces, while Salvatore Rossini had 72 % reception.
