Poland: Resovia and Zaksa win recovery matches of Round 9 and 12

Another 2 recovery matches of Polish Plusliga were played yesterday: in the afternoon match valid for Round 12, Asseco Resovia, after more than 150 minutes of play, won at tie-break on the Skra Belchatow’s field, which thus got worse their already disappointing situation in the standings. Cebulj’s team (MVP of the match) dominate the first 2 sets, then they suffered a comeback, and finally they return to make the difference from the service line (10 aces with only 14 errors in the match) in the tie-break. Another fact that rewards Resovia are the errors in attack in the match: 12 for the Skra, only 4 for the guests. Both teams don’t play on a level of their reputations this season. However, this win pushed Resovia from the 10th to 6th place in the charts. Slovenian Klemen Čebulj top-scored Resovia with 20 points. Estonian Timo Tammemaa made 4 blocks.
There is no match in the evening, valid for the Round 9: the leaders Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle leave only the crumbs (50 points) at Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom.
