The Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Council has approved the secure bubble concept for the 2021 menā€™s and womenā€™s editions of the event.
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) published that 2021 VNL edition will be held in a bubble format, just as it was seen in many major events since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The FIVB also stressed that a secure bubble concept is set to minimize international travel, which is already restricted by many countries, and ensure the health of all participants.
It is noted that all 16 teams per gender are to be accommodated in one country so the matches in a round-robin part of the tournament and the Finals will be hosted in one venue, and there will be the same number of matches per gender.
Following the decision, the FIVB will start negotiations with national federations that are interested to organize the event and plan to announce the host country/countries and the match schedule in February….
