Champions League: ZAKSA first team to ensure promotion to quarterfinals, Belchatow hopes, Fenerbahçe out

The penultimate day of Pool A gives the first verdicts of the 2021 Volleyball Champions League group stage.
In the first game, PGE Skra Belchatow (who try the turnover with Katic, Milczarek and Filipiak) accuses a false start against Lindemans Aalst then, lost the first set and reinstated the starters Sander, Petkovic and Piechocki wins 3-1.
On the other match, Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle became the first quarterfinalists.
They defeated Turkey’s Fenerbahçe HDI İstanbul on the penultimate day of the Pool A tournament of the competition in Bełchatów (Poland). It was a duel of the two leaders of their respective home championships in which the team coached by Serbian Nikola Grbić prevailed in straight sets: 3-0 (25:23, 25:18, 25:18).
Thus, ZAKSA ensuring its promotion to the next round, quarterfinals, of the Champions League as the first team to do so this season. Kamil Semeniuk top-scored the Kędzierzyn-Koźle club with 13 points while Aleksander Śliwka made 92 % attack (11/12).
ZAKSA have 2 wins and 4 points more than the vice-leaders and also the countrymen PGE Skra Bełchatów, with only one more day of the competition to be held.
Either way, with these results ZAKSA is mathematically first one day early (and therefore already in the quarterfinals), PGE Skra Belchatow is mathematically second (but tomorrow they will have to try to increase teir victories and points to hope to return next week between the 3 best runners-up) while both Fenerbahce and the ever-defeated Lindemans Aalst are already eliminated.
