Austria: Ried fixed first place in the intermediate round, Sokol secures second

UVC Weberzeile Ried secured first place in the DenizBank AG VL intermediate round on Saturday afternoon, as they prevailed in straight sets on the field of VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt 3-0 (25:22, 25:23, 25:21). It is certain that Ried will meet fourth in the top round in the playoff – probably VCA Amstetten NÖ.
The top scorers among the hosts were Simon Frühbauer (12), Simon Baldauf, David Petschnig (7 each), while Niklas Etlinger (13) and George Hobern (11) top-scored for the winners.

On the other match, TJ Sokol Wien V defeats last-placed TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg 3:1 (25:13, 17:25, 25:14, 25:16) and secures second place.
