OK Calcit Kamnik from Slovenia secured the fifth Mevza League win in a row. On Wednesday night, Gregor Jeroncic’s team needed just 63 minutes to celebrate a clean success (25:18, 25:23, 25:20) over last placed UVC Holding Graz from Austria on home their home court.
Therefore, the winners moved up to third place in the current charts with 19 points, leapfrogging Austria’s SK Zadruga AICH/DOB, that will be hosting Calcit Volley next Sunday.
Kamnik’s Mitja Gasparini top-scored the match with 18 points, including three aces, while Johannes Kratz put down the same number of point for the away team. The match stats underline the superiority of the winning side: attack 63% vs 44%, winning blocks 10 vs 3, aces 7 vs 5 and opponent errors 24 each.
Recall that the Final Four tournament will be hosted by Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel from Austria and scheduled for February 27 and 28 at the Zwettl sports hall.
