Brazil: victory for Minas, Sada Cruzeiro and, surprisingly, Sesi SP in last matches of Round 21
2 min read
Round 21 of the Superliga was completed on the European night.
Leaders Sada Cruzeiro had no problems against last-placed Ribeirao Preto, and won 3-0 leaving Alan, Isac and Conte at rest. An opportunity well exploited by the young opposite Oppenkoski who closed the match with 71% in attack and the MVP award.
After the defeat against Blumenau, Minas redeemed themselves who, despite still without Escobar, won in 3 sets on the field of Uberlandia led by outside-hitter Henrique Honorato (20 points, 61% in attack, 1 block and 5 aces) who therefore won the family duel against daddy Manoel (coach on the other side of the net).
The surprise, however, was the success of the young Sesi SP who, in the first match after the numerous cases of coronavirus in the team, (the outside-hitter Nathan Krupp and Marcus Vinicius still out) defeated Itapetininga 3-0. The protagonists of the victory, and consequently almost certain salvation, were the usual Darlan Souza (20 points with 54% in attack, 4 blocks and 1 ace) and the expert Murilo Endres (MVP of the match with 6 points, 71% in attack and 1 block) who, given the absence of his two team mates, for the second time this season, took off his libero jersey to go back to wearing those of a spiker.
