Portugal: Sporting CP lift national Cup trophy after 26 years

Sporting CP won the 2021 Portuguese Volleyball Cup, a trophy that has fled them since the 1994/95 season.
They beat in final SL Benfica by a 3-1 (29:27, 25:22, 16:25, 28:26) to lift the trophy which they last time won 26 years ago.
Prevailing over the biggest sporting rivals in the country in the final held in Santo Tirso, Sporting won the national cup for the 4th time in the club history.
Brazilian Paulo Victor Silva top-scored the winning side with 18 points, but two of his compatriots also stood out in Sporting: Éder Levi with 4 blocks and Renan Purificação with 71% reception (21 digs, 1 error, 19% excellent). Another Brazilian stood out in the match: Théo Lopes, who scored 21 points for Benfica, while Ivo Casas made 82% reception (22 digs, 2 errors, 45% excellent).
These two teams will face each other again in less than a week at the start of the playoff semifinals.
