Poland: ZAKSA and Jastrzębski started playoff quarterfinals in a perfect way
1 min readGrupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle continue their run in Polish championship: they started the season by winning the Super Cup, they recently won the Cup, and a few days ago they achieved an incredible win against Zenit-Kazan in the 1st leg of the Champions League semifinals.
So no wonder they also justified the role of the favorites, even though not without having to put in extra effort, in Game 1 of the 2020/21 Polish PlusLiga playoff quarterfinals against the 8th-seed Ślepsk Malow Suwałki: 3-1 (17:25, 25:16, 25:16, 25:21). Aleksander Śliwka scored 16 points for the regular-season winners.
On the other march, the no.7 Jastrzębski Węgiel had no problems against no.7 Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie (3-0) and took the lead in the series, led by super performances of Al Hachdadi (MVP of the match with 20 points, 77% in attack and 57% efficiency) and Gladyr (13 points, 100% in attack, 4 blocks and 2 aces).
