After the early elimination in the 2020/21 Brazilian Volleyball Championship, Sada Cruzeiro started to make moves to make the team for the next season.
And they did it by announcing on social media that they have signed opposite Wallace Souza, who has just won the Turkish Cup with Spor Toto and was named MVP of the competition.
The 33-year-old player, one of the greatest idols of the fans of the Belo Horizonte club, has returned to it after 5 years.
Wallace arrived in Sada Cruzeiro in 2009 and spent the next 7 years there, accumulating numerous collective (2 FIVB Club World Championships, 4 Brazilian leagues, 3 Brazilian Cups, 3 South American Club Championship, and 6 Mineiro Championships) and individual (one-time FIVB Club World Championship MVP and Best Opposite Spiker and one-time South American Club Championship MVP and Best Opposite Spiker) achievements.
In 2016, he left Sada Cruzeiro due to the ranking of athletes for Superliga that the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) introduced for that season.
