Glenn Hoag, head coach of the Canada men’s national team, has made official the list of 12 players who will take part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games.
Of the 12-man roster called up, seven players have already played at the Olympic Games, including captain Gordon Perrin.
The team is currently on retreat in Turkey from where they will move to Shiwa, Japan, for final preparations before the Tokyo Games.
The list of 12 players of Canada:
Setters: Jay Blankenau, TJ Sanders
Opposites: Ryan Sclater, Sharone Vernon-Evans
Outside hitters: Nicholas Hoag, Stephen Maar, Steven Marshall, Gordon Perrin (captain)
Middle blockers: Arthur Szwarc, Lucas Van Berkel, Graham Vigrass Libero: Blair Bann
Also the Venezuela National Team head coach Ronald Sarti enlisted 12 players for the Tokyo Olympics. This will be the second appearance of this South American country in the men’s volleyball tournament at the Olympic Games, and the first one was in Beijing 2008.
