Jénia Grebennikov, one of the best liberos in the volleyball world, is officially announced as a new player of Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Thus the France National Team player will continue his career at the Russian vice-champions, by which the rumors of the transfer from Italy’s Leo Shoes Modena are confirmed.
As part of French National team, a 30-year-old libero won the FIVB World League twice (2015, 2017) and the CEV European Championship once (2015), but he has been recognized as Best Libero of various tournaments, including twice in the FIVB World League (2015, 2016) and the CEV Champions League (2016, 2017), and once at the CEV European Championship (2017).
Jénia will play in the country of his origin for the first time in his career. His father Boris was in fact a former Russian (Soviet) volleyball player and coach.
